On a lush island in the French Antilles, the peasant girl Ti Moune is saved by the gods for a greater purpose. When she falls in love with Daniel, a wealthy young man from the other side of the island, the gods of love and death make a wager over which is the stronger force — with Ti Moune's life at stake. Told through vibrant calypso rhythms and the timeless power of storytelling, this sweeping one-act musical is a moving celebration of love, faith, and hope that binds a community together.
