Rootdown was founded and is operated by multi-generational Mississippians, driven by a shared passion: breaking the stigma around cannabis, improving lives, and giving back to our communities.

Why? Because we’ve been there.

We know what it’s like to grow up in households where cannabis was considered taboo. We know the struggles of living with chronic pain and debilitating conditions. We’ve seen friends and family face legal consequences over a plant. We’re here to break those barriers—and we’re here to build something stronger in their place.

That’s why you’ll see us proudly wearing the Rootdown brand as we serve our communities, share our stories, and do the work—not just inside our stores, but out in the community where the toughest conversations happen. Changing perceptions doesn’t happen overnight, but we’re committed to having those discussions, supporting those in need, and making a real impact across Mississippi.
