About Us

IMPACT is one of the most powerful free papers in North America, consistently ranking in the top one percent of over 4,800 free and paid publications audited by Circulation Verification Council. In CVC’s latest audit, IMPACT Receivership (99%), Readership (87%) and Purchase Influence (80%) scores ranked it as the No. 6 publication in North America. Some of America’s most recognizable national corporations advertise with IMPACT, including pharmacies, grocery stores, office supply retailers, discount chains and more. With a direct to home delivery system – primarily through the USPS – and its strong, established presence in the south Mississippi market, IMPACT continues to be the most effective advertising medium for local, regional and national clients. IMPACT saturates southeast Mississippi and touches part of west Alabama near the Mississippi cities of Hattiesburg and Laurel. Over 110,000 homes contained within 33 zip codes are touched by IMPACT every week.

IMPACT is a division of Buckley Newspapers Inc., which was formed in 1967 by Dr. Frank Buckley and his son, Ronnie. Dr. Buckley, an attorney and college professor, was inducted into the Mississippi Press Association Hall of Fame for his contributions to journalism in the state prior to his decease in 1998. Ronnie Buckley passed away in December 2022, and his wife, Caroline Buckley is acting President.
